We had something similar in here a while back, but it sort of fizzled out due to lack of interest (see the sticky for "challenge for the days ahead" if you run out of inspiration for themes). Hopefully with plenty of new members since then this will rekindle some interest.

You might want to be a bit more specific with your rules though. Are you saying that people should start posting their entries in this thread from Friday or that they should start posting immediately and voting will open on Friday?

If the former, can people carry on posting up until the Sunday when voting closes?

If the latter, you might want to revisit the timeframes. A lot of people only really get camera time at the weekend, so if this runs for entries from Monday to Friday you might lose a lot of people who'd like to participate.

Just a couple of thoughts . . . it's definitely a good idea and I hope you get a good uptake on it.

That's a shame . . . I think you should at least give it a chance.

(I hope it wasn't because my post came across as negative. I genuinely think it's a good idea - I was just trying to make some constructive suggestions to make running it easier for you)

Right not one for entering comps, but up for this, for the first 18 months after my accident all i could take pictures of was the house and garden i got to be good at this

i'll just have to remember to do it.


hang on wheels, no taking pictures with that pole thingy of your ridge tiles in macro, i'll be watching:
