Julian I'm so glad that you are getting your camera very soon. Just being a small part in this and getting to know you has changed the way I look at life so in a small way I want to THANK YOU wheels..Regards Steve

Well checking AA route planner it says 3 hours 52 minutes from where I live.

So if i leave at 8 i should be there at about 12 ish.

I think I may have found a home for some of those screws left over, the keyboard sags down when you press the keys.

I've fallen behind on this thread, but just done a big catch-up read and I'm so glad to hear it's all going well! :thumbs:

Can't wait to see the look on Julian's face when it's all presented, and there's NO excuse for there not being any photos of the occasion :lol:

My bosses have donated.........

Compaq presario 15" laptop which is working with a battery that works too. It's not new but it works well and is an ideal replacement for Wheels' current dodgy laptop.

Anybody got any 333MHz DDR SODIMMS of 512MB or 1Gb ?????

Can't help with sodimms (gave my spare to Dad last night) but if it runs vista, you can use an extrenal flash drive plugged in as virtual ram, if the board has internal ram.

Its not really ideal but I am sure that we will find a couple of people with dead laptops with 512Mb/1G DDR Sodimms in :)

Bloody hell, erm this is a bit awkward, I have been so busy today, at a meeting with the stroke group this morning, then physio early afternoon and then helping Mrs wheels paint the bathroom. Darren my dad has ordered me a new battery and a PSU today. Now I feel really bad infact. I am again amazed at all thats going on, and do not for 1 minute think I do not appreciate it. So sorry.
