Whatsapp

You can do this with Whatsapp on BB, but I don't know about iPhone. Never used one.

Music is inside the iTunes library, the files are not accessible, you can only play them in apps using Apple's application interface

This is why i hate IPhones. No freedom.
You should have got an Android :)

On a photography forum where we all value our own copyrighted works I don't see how you can complain about potential IP breaching by sharing music ;)

I find that most people who slag off iphones cant afford them........

Absolute rubbish, typical apple fan boy comment. I have had iphones in the past, I have got android now, personally I prefer android, I don't like the way apple restrict every thing. Plus

Just because i want to transfer music does not mean i intend to transfer copyrighted music. I could have spent 7 hours in the basement last night composing my own music and now i want to share it with my friend.

In which case there's lots of better options such as Soundcloud, Youtube, or even things like Dropbox.

If someone has been producing music themselves it's likely they upload it somewhere for sharing anyway. There's really very limited reasons why someone would need to be able to send a song from their phone. Contrast that against the huge problem of music piracy and it's entirely justified in my opinion.

I disagree. Everyones view is their own. None are better. Except android. Lol

Ha ha ! All joking aside- if you have built up a huge library of iTunes purchased music,is it possible to transfer them to an android device? I fancy an S3 but if I can't transfer my music then it's a no-no.

The only technique I know of is to burn them to cd and then copy them back in a format which isn't iTunes specific (mp3 rather than AAC), unless there's an app out there that makes AAC readable on Android, which isn't something I'd know of.
