What's your weak point?

To much information: video, audio, book, magazine...

Head hurts...but can't stop....:bonk:

Andy, that's exactly what I was getting at. I sometimes think that when some one presents with a "style" it's because he ploughs his own furrow, ignoring video, audio, book etc.

...not regularly checking basics...yesterday taking 300 pics...100 jpg large (good), 100 raw (not a prob), and 100 small jpg (arghhh) i have moved the quality button instead of iso on the d90....had to be the best that are jpg 'basic' didnt it? :( really got to keep an eye on these things more

Using a camera! :bonk:

I'm deffinately one of those. But slowly learning.

I'm always on burst mode, end up with 5-600 pics in an evening of shooting & maybe getting a few ok shots & being unable to delete the ones that are bad.
In the 3 months i've had my DSLR i've clocked up about 60gb's of photos. Holiday snaps, gig photo's & a few 1080P videos.

I can see an improvement in my photography, but my composition is still fairly bad. But it takes time & practice.

Taking way too many pics and also finding it hard to press the delete button on the non keepers :bang:
This ^ I do a lot of nightclub stuff and although I'm paid to work say 11-1 I'll end up getting caught up in the moment and still be snapping away at 2-3 in the morning and I've probably still got 90% of the shots I've taken in the past 7-8 years just can't bring myself to delete all the old ones lol

Reading too much and wishing I could take pics like that instead of practicing more

Worrying about poor high ISO noise showing at 100%, and sharpness/pixel peeping, when there are far more important things to get right first.

Composition, light, etc. Trying to worry less about the 200% detail, and getting a good shot together. Light and conditions won't always be perfect, I'm going to get iso noise at 800 and above, but I can't help but wish it away.

Having more ambition than talent!

Weak spot is buying kit, on a budget, but still buying a lot of kit...

My sentiments exactly, spending far too much, it is a birthday present in which I have spent more on!

99% of my stuff is taken on a tripod so it isn't a problem but shooting handheld by horizons are always on the **** by about 0.8 degrees.

Much the same, always seems to be 1.2 degrees for me :bonk:

Interesting question and I am probably guilty of all of the above at one time or another! :-)

spending more time on TP talking about photography (and/or talking crap and taking the P out of cobra) than actually taking pictures

plus anything that involves studio lights

Brain, definitely brain.

And eyes.

I would struggle to narrow it down to one!!!

My major lacking areas are:

Flash - as someone else already posted I have read absolutely everything there is to know about flash, understand all the technical concepts around it but every time I use it I hate the results. Tbh I am aiming for a 100% natural, no flash used look which is never going to happen!

Aperture - Sticking at max aperture (quite often 1.8 or 2) for better isolation... in every shot!!!!

Being too self-critical - whilst I would not swap this one as I think it is the only way you are ever going to get better it would be nice to be able to look back at pics taken a year/months/weeks/days ago without being ashamed you had taken and been pleased with the results. I can't be the only one who does this???
