What's your 'Top Snap' ???

Egg mayo, Branston and onion sarnie. Yumdiddlyumptious.

There was, maybe still is, a cafe and sandwich shop in preston that did balm cakes that held a full breakfast. I mean everything including beens, fried bread, mushrooms, you could have haggis as well if you wanted. I'm avoiding Preston now! Lost 9 1/2 stone in the last 2 years, a couple of those and it will be back to square one. They are amazing butties though.

Wasn't the Tea Bar was it?

Best sarnie? For me, it's a simple bacon one with smoked bacon 5mm thick, wholemeal bread and Heinz tomato ketchup. A close second is a good sausage, again on wholemeal with some coarse marmalade. Taking the lowest podium place is brie, wholemeal bread and coarse marmalade.

Upping the ante a little to include greasy spoon and proper caff food, a Jasperizer from Captain Jasper's on the Barbican in Plymouth has got to be among the front runners...

Quarter Pounder Bacon Burger atop a Quarter Pounder Cheese Burger finished with Fried Onions"

Almost worth the drive down just for one of them!

Not yet tried it myself but on some American TV programmes they seem to favour Peanut Butter & Jelly, anyone tried that???

DD

Yes! love it :D Americans call jam jelly . Peanut butter and strawberry jam on bread or toast, Yum!

WOWZER !!!

To the 10 Fish-finger at once butty

Must have jaws like a snake to get your chops round that one

:)

DD

You should try it, It is just a case of squashing it down a bit first, or is it just the fact I have a big gob.

Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jam eh

Well, due to one of my wife's silly diets we do have both of those in the fridge right now - problem is, not sure I'm 'Man' enough to try it

Run out of Fish-fingers for now, but the next 10 pack we get (when the wife's not around) I may try that awesome butty Davec223; I'll get one of the kids to sit on it for a while first though

Theres nothing 'manly' about a fish finger butty.

Try replacing the fish fingers with sausages. Now that would be manly !

I was referring to the Peanut & Jam sarnie as requiring a 'Manly' stance to face up to such a gruesome challenge :(

Fishfinger butties may not be manly in a normal way, but 10 a once on a 3 slice butty - that's butch (ish)

Sausage sarnie's are fab too though - there's a van near here does them cut in two with an egg, mushrooms and onions on - stunning  for about £1.75 I think; is that a good price ???

DD

^^ Ah, your off the hook then

£1.75 is about right. Quite reasonable in fact. I would ask for the onions to be replaced with black pudding though. That would make it for me !!

I am pleased that you put it was butch(ish) my 10 year old called me a powder puff the other night. :)

Sliced liver sausage, sliced toms, plenty of salt, lots of ketchup.

Bacon, chips (homemade), runny yolks from 2 fried eggs, ketchup.

Slices of buttered toast, thickly spread boursin, ham, sliced toms, salt.

M&S Ham and Mustard Mayo with a portion of McD's fries chucked in the middle.

Hmmm... interesting there m8

Remind me  just how many stones overweight are you

Love the salt intake too - just remember these words...

"OMG - heart attack - dial 999 - QUICKLY"

Not even a stone, try as I might. Married to a marathon runner means I eat far too much healthy stuff despite my best efforts to live on junk

Salt is a must have with toms ***

Marathon runner ???

Don't they call them 'Snickers' these days :D

Onion bajhis in pitta bread with hot chilli sauce  or day old fish and chips with a liberal coating of salad cream and microwaved until chewy :D absolutely delicious :)

hmm, what sort of cheese? :)

I'm basically a cheddar man, or red leicester. Any sort of jam. I like gooseberry, although common strawberry is most often found in my kitchen for some reason. I got the idea of mixing the two years ago when I was eating those party sticks with cheese and pineapple chunks. Cheese and fruit seemed to go well together.
