Going on from another thread, What is your most favorite song in your music collection? You have to choose just one song that really 'does it for you'!! That song that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end.

Add a YouTube vid if poss

Mine is 'Is this the Life' By CARDIACS

Cant seem to embed the movie!

Oasis - Some Might Say

No big emotional or personal reason for this song being my fave, it just makes me happy whenever I listen to it. The brilliance that is Oasis at their best IMHO.

It's a good question, first thing that came to mind was "So Close Now" by The Eli Young Band, so I guess that would be it. Just reminds me of good times past...

Been a fan of The Smiths/Morrissey for some 17-18 years or so. Never tire of any of his songs........

Sour Times by Portishead, makes me cry :(

One would have to be Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls - cheesy I know but I cant help it!
It can depend on my mood though

My fav just now would have to be Real good looking boy by The Who

My fav of all time would have to be Guns&Roses Sweet Child of Mine

Only reason Comfortably Numb wasn't one of mine was because Galaxy66 had already picked it:lol:

For me (apart from the works of Kraftwerk of course)..

Stevie Wonder-Never dreamed you'd leave in summer

The Stranglers - Golden Brown

Couldn't possibly choose one song.
Different songs for diff moods, situations etc

i do have an all time favourites list, and had my top fifteen played on radio carolines' "top fifteens" show but couldn't say just one was a favourite or even two.

one of them is Hocus Pocus by Focus :)

true faith by new order
its my life by talk talk
and quite a few more

Impossible to choose one as it depends so much on mood.So in no particular order.

1/ All along the watchtower---Jimi Hendrix.
2/ Alone again or------------- Love.
3/ I say a little prayer-------- Aretha Franklin.
4/ Dazed and confused--------Led Zeppelin.
5/ Cowgirl in the sand---------Neil Young.
6/ For Free-------------------Joni Mitchell.
7/ Hurricane------------------Bob Dylan.
8/ Refugee (live)--------------Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
9/ Hey nineteen-------------- Steely Dan.
10/ Child in Time---------------Deep Purple.
11/ Gimme Shelter------------Rolling Stones.
12/ Sad lisa------------------ Cat Stevens.
13/ Sweet surrender----------Tim Buckley.
14/ I heard it through the grapevine--Marvin Gaye.
15/ Alright now----------------Free.
16/ Comfortably numb---------Pink Floyd.
17/ Dont fear the reaper-------Blue Oyster Cult.
18/ Cocaine (live)-------------Eric Clapton.
19/ Riverside----------------- America.
20/ Wooden Ships------------ Jefferson Airplane.
21/ Mona-------------------- Quicksilver Messenger Service.

The list goes on and on and on---but all of these have been a constant in my life.To pick one above any others is virtually impossible ----if push comes to shove though-------The long slow blues version of Voodoo Chile on Electric Ladyland by Hendrix would probably be my pick.
Pete.
