Yes
Well Galaxy66 has got the teetotallers telling us why they dont like alcohol. So heres one for the drinkers. I pretty much like most things--Our local 6X beer is superb although Guinness is my usual pub choice.I like wine with food and a long Bacardi/coke or Gin/tonic never goes amiss.
Whats yours ?
Cheers.

Well as I said in Mal's thread I used to be rather partial to Pernod and coke
with ice and a slice, but I must admit to not consuming as much as I used to

I'm sitting here with my usual Smirnoff Vodka & Diet Coke with loads of ice. As soon as the ice has melted, I'll have another ;)

Ah, the joys of working away from home during the week :)

I'll drink most things, current faves are JD + coke and Tia Maria +ginger ale! Don't knock it til you've tried it!

A nice bottle of red wine , Vodka & coke, oh & a nice chilled lager on a hot summers day goes down a treat:D

I quite like cocktails that contain Malibu but I do try to resist alcohol as it's not good for your health or your pocket and can become a habit.

Then it's on to the sweeties for me: particularly like fizzy, gummy ones which I tell myself are not as expensive or as bad for you as alcohol. :D

Ooooooooh and the cream cakes although they can clog your arteries - not that I worry at all - Oh Noooooooooooooo!!! :shake:

right now, Lemsip :gag:

whisky and ginger ale

A rusty nail :bonk:
Thats a good whisky & Drambuie or if thats not handy
Brandy and prince glava:cuckoo:

I don't drink that much these days, but when I do it's usually rose wine, real ale, Pimms and lemonade or Balvenie doublewood :)

At the moment all I want to drink is copious amounts of tea.

Gin and Bitter Lemon.

I'm a definite whiskey fan, really liking Bushmills with some ice and that's it.

Or Jack Daniel's with apple club. Don't knock it till you try it!!

Or Jack Daniel's with apple club? oooh! Not tried that!!!! Will be getting some apple club next time I go shopping! Cheers!

(not heard of apple club, where will i find it? :D)

It depends where I am and the kind of mood I'm in. If I'm drinking beer, any decent German/Czech lager or pilsner will do fine, and I'm also quite partial to Beligian Trappist beers. If I'm drinking spirits, I'm a Jim Beam/JD and Coke man. If I'm feeling particularly flush I might have a couple of Long Island Iced Tea's as well :D

Laphroaig (or any of the Islay malts come to think of it)
Bushmills Malt
or a nice glass of red wine...

Anthony.

Spirit wise, I like Jägermeister, or Jack Daniels + Coke
Beer wise, some kind of ale such as Hobgoblin, or Guinness.
Non-alcoholic, Coca Cola (original, not the diet/zero sugar/zero taste variants).

Joseph Holts bitter - Wonderful!!

Pete

Laphroaig

:agree:

Even better, Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Also partial to Bowmore - not the Legend rubbish you get in the supermarket, the "proper" Bowmore that you only seem to be able to get from their web site or specialist suppliers :help:

A good Mohito, Barolo and Herold Bohemian Black Lager but preferably not all in the same glass.

Generally a wine drinker, but have recently been enjoying the odd glass of scotch, neat. ;)

A nice really sweet dessert wine with a meal or just relaxing, or if its more of a spirit, arches and lemonade, or in the summer a shandy with a dash of lime :)
