What's your favourite lens

Has to be my canon 500mm f4LIS, I simply love it!! although I've just got the canon 180mm macro lens, but not had a chance to play with it yet.

It will be my 10-20mm when I finally buy another, but for the moment, it's my Sigma 100-300mm f/4....

OT, you doing ardersier tomorrow?

the 17-40 spends most time on the body, but in terms of a real fave it'd have to be the 70-200 f2.8

you weren't really expecting pictures though.......were you.....:runaway:

i heart my 24mm f2.8. nice little wideangleish lens.

I got that one too! A real sleeper but great on a FF and even a decent widey/walkies on a crop.

My favourite is my 400mm just because it is what I use most I suppose, but all my lenses are favourite when I'm using them. My Pentax 50mm 1.4 with K/EOS adaptor is pretty special and my longest lasting. I also love the Sigma 30mm 1.4 but doesn't work on the FF or 1.3x crop.

70-200 IS is one that gets used a lot though the more I use it the more "fond" of my 24-105L I get
A picture from each can you spot the lens?

And before it starts any ID wars this is a Saker :D

I'd say my Canon FD 50mm 0.95, was with the camera when I got it... and it's absolutely brilliant.

I'm liking my new 24-105 IS L but after only 5r0 shots its early days. I rarely use it nowadays, but i do have a soft spot for my Sigma 80-400 which came in useful on its first holiday outing..

Canon 18-55 kit lens, love it, extremely under rated IMO

My 70-200 2.8 IS
I just love that lens never had a problem with it and always delivers the goods :D

Probably my 500mm f4.

Not the best shot ever, but this was hand held, so it shows the detail you can get even hand holding this lens

Agreed - not the best ever... but probably the second best ever  Fantastic clarity, mate

My favourite lens is the most difficult to use, its a Nikon 50mm F2.8 E (think its F2.8).
It’s actually an enlarger lens that I have an adapter so it can be attached straight to the front of the camera (but you can not focus it) or to the front of a set of Nikon PB4 bellows. Below is an example not to great I know but shows the awesome look, colours and depth of field you get which is special to it.

At the moment it's my 400 F5.6 L, hasn't been off my camera since I bought it a month ago. It's so sharp and AF so fast. However I still love my 10-22 for landscapes.

Really nice Sue ... great shot. The 400mm is something special.

24-105 is my walk about lens and definitely gets the most use, especially studio stuff. Just bought a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 which I'm loving and a Sigma 15-30 which I bought 2nd hand to have a bash at some wide angle stuff, which is harder than it looks!

As for a favourite, that's hard, but I'm going to go for the 24-105 just because it gets the shots I want, time after time. Not the most spectacular but my most dependable.

My favourite lens is the Nikon 24mm f/2.8D lens. As I like to get in close to the subject and the action.

Ok, I can't really find an example pic that I want to post, but for me, the best lens I have ever used is without a doubt the Nikon 17-55 AF-S.
