Don't think we've had this before :) So what's your favourite lens in the bag and why? Feel free to post a shot you've taken with it as well.

For me it's the 24-70 F2.8L. Super sharp, super quick, good colour rendition and a good range on the 1.3X crop :)

Nice one Dod ... ... Mine has to be the ultra quick, ultra sharp Nikkor 50mm f1.4 DX ... ... wonderful, super, smashing ... :D

:p

24 - 105L

love it to bits

md:thumbs:

10-20mm or 105mm macro,

my dream lens however is the 24-105mm L

It has to be the 500mm f4L IS for me purely and simply because it gets the most use. You've all seen loads of shots taken with that, so I'll post one from my close 2nd favourite, the 85mm 1.2 L.

That's a house right behind this guy which has just disappeared! :D

85/1.2L on a full frame body.....unbeatable IMHO

For me, it would have to be the 24-70; an excellent walk-about lens even though a bit too heavy at times, but it's super sharp and quick.

Probably my 500mm f4.

Not the best shot ever, but this was hand held, so it shows the detail you can get even hand holding this lens

I love my tokina 12-24 f/4 AT-X 124 PRO DX AF well built.

Would have to be my workhorse Canon 300mm IS 2.8L.

Probably my works Canon 17-40mm 'L' – a superb lens and tough as old boots...

.. but I have got a soft spot for the 18-70mm kit lens that came with my D200, a quality optic..

Sigma 150mm f2.8. I love it because its the first after market lens I bought, it can shoot a very diverse range of subjects, from macro to wildlife to portraits. It also took my most popular photo (The miner). Its super sharp, and its the perfect size for the D300+grip. Bascially its the perfect lens at what its designed to be.

85mm 1.8 ...... I recently bought a 24-105 to pair up with my 5D, and I can honestly say that the 85mm knocks the spots off it every time. Just wish I wasn't so lazy so it actually spend more time on the camera than off it.

I've not really got a massive selection of lenses, and up until a few months ago I mostly used my 18-55mm kit lens. However, I bought a 50mm f/1.8 and that's taken over, and the more I learn/use it, the more and more I'm liking it.

24-105 L lens for clean shots with nice amount of width and reach. Great walk about lens.

I must say that my nifty 50 Nikkor 1.8 has become my favourite. Never fails to deliver.

hmmm!, at the moment it has to be my 50mm 1.4, its fast, small and sharp. What more do you need ?

Currently my 400mm f5.6, but that may change soon.

I can't really decide between the Sigma 10-20mm and the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8, but at the moment I'll have to say the 120-300 2.8, since it's only been 3 months that I bought it! My most expensive lens and most used now. BUt I still love the 10-20.

Something from each.

Guess which is which.

Woooah love that fox shot. Really nice indeed. That was taken with the 120-300 I assume?

My 35 f/2. Sees the most action these days as my primary portrait lens. Sure it will be even better when the D3 arrives.

Nikon 80 - 400, love it.

Same here, i really love this lens, i bought the 35mm f2 instead of a 50mm f1.4 because i wanted a standard prime for the DX format, the focal length makes it great for so many situations and the image quality is fantastic.

My other most loved lens at the moment is the 70-300mm VR, i sold an old nikon 300 f4 and a sigma 70-200 to get this lens and its worked out very well for me.

I have two favourites:

Nikkor 70-200mm AF-S VR:

Nikkor 50mm f1.4:

oof, hard question, my most used is probably my 10-20 so that may qualify, closely followed by my 24-105 L, not used my 100-400 that much yet and i doubt it'll be as popular for me with my style of shooting (landscape and architecture). I would like to own the 17-40 L though :)

It was my 24-105mm L f4 but after taking delivery of the 135mm L f2, its brilliant, so sharp it's unreal:) Taken a little while to get used to it but it is something special.:D
