What's your desktop background?

Mine at the mo.

Also a 2 screen chap, a must for a good photoshop setup.

I always use my own photos and it's usually my long time girlfriend (I get told off otherwise!) of three and a bit years! And yes, I'm using Linux :P

nice shot but best reduce it to 800px longest side!!!

wow, XP looks so dated :P

Desktop on my laptop, although I use the same image on my desktop, with another Pellegrin on the second monitor.

The image is by Paolo Pellegrin "A helicopter used by Afghan interdiction, Nangahar Province, Afghanistan (2006)"

Here's my current one.

Where the heck is that ground? Having grown up in Spondon I am amazed I have never heard of Borrowash Victoria before.

On the grounds of the old Asterdale Club.
Look for Borrowash Road on Google maps, its the ground nearest the Derby Road.

Some cracking pics here. I used this one for a long time but since I bought Windows7 I just used the schemes it came with but I've resurrected it for this thread.

One of my own, I change it every so often, but I just keep coming back to this one!!

Certainly makes sense if you don't maximise your windows although i'd be curious why you wouldn't when working with photoshop. Surely the more of the image you can view at once the better?

I do maximise the window usually but I also have more than one monitor, the other may just have the background showing depending on what I'm doing, besides a bright coloured background staring in your eyes before you start colour editing probably isn't a good idea.

Taken at the Didcot Railway Centre earlier this year when Sir Nigel Gresley was visiting. Many thanks everyone for you advice on how to do a copy of the desktop image.

EdinburghGary, your photo's never stop amazing me! That lighting and those tones are just incredible. This is one of those photo's that actually takes my breath away.

Always one of my own, usually change it when I get one I'm happy with, so not very often
