What's your beer of choice when you're at home?

For me relaxing with a nice cold bottle of Mahou is a nice way to wind down.

What's your choice?

How strange, I haven't had a beer for a while, but I had a curry tonight, and after the glass of ice cold water , I had a couple of bottles of Greenking IPA and they were very pleasant - hoppy and fruity, with just the right amount of bitterness.
I also chilled them a bit, something the CAMRA bunch would not like in the least:)

my abolute fave would be a Kasteel Donker.
limit myself as they are 11%

If I'm out, it has to be real ale, but at home it's usually Newcastle Brown - simply because it's the only beer in the shop across the road which isn't lager.

Steve.

Love most beers, except Tennents super lager and Carlsburg special :wacky: lol, my local B&M do 4 cans of Breakers for £3.25 which is a bargain.

can't be doing with all that lager stuff, only fit for drain cleaning.

Exactly. Weak, girlie stuff that for some reason, people like drinking cold - so you can't taste it.

Beer should be served at room temperature.

On the subject of beer, I was pleasantly surprised last weekend when I went to a local pub to see a band. They had an IPA for £2.35 a pint and a real ale for £2.45 a pint. Obviously I tried them both!

A Butcombe Gold or Stroud Brewery Budding. Keeping it real and local!

There are so many very good beers that it is difficult to choose. However, if I was allowed to drink only one beer there is a good chance it would be -

Shepherd Neame 1698.

kopparberg Strawberry and Lime Cider or a bottle of whatever real ale i grab be it spitfire, badgers, ferrets bishops finger or anything else that i have.

At the moment I'm rather linking Brewdog Punk IPA or Dead Pony Club. Nice refreshing beers.

I currently have those, plus Fuller Wild River, Yardbird & Adnams Explorer stacked up.

Lots of people here seem to like larger beers. Is a pint not big enough?

(and by lots, I mean two!)

Almost any beer by, Batemans, Adnams, Timothy Taylor.

Elephant beer AKA Beer Chang!

Black Sheep Riggwelter, only seen it in Asda

Just finished a lovely bottle of Adnams Broadside.

Not beer, cider. Certainly NOT cidre though! Never acquired a taste for any beers despite trying plenty over the years. Currently rather like the Bulmers fruity ciders and their perry, probably because it's on special offer from Sainsbury's. TBH, I wish I did like beer since cider's not easy to find when we're on holiday and wine and ouzo get me pished too quickly to enjoy the taste!

Brains SA gold, or a Badger beer. Really unusual taste on the badger beers

Badger beers are good. Had a couple of cans of Ruddles County - proper country ale today. I like that.

il have a go at anything

current favorite is jennings sneck lifter...5.1% and only £1.85 a pint in my local

£1.85 a pint - are you Dr Who?:)

Next time you go out for a pint, give me a ring so I can get a lift in your tardis.
It is nearly £4 a pint down here in Kent for ordinary beer.

Living on France as I do I have to wait until I am back in the old country for a decent beer. Then it is London Pride when I can find it or any of the speciality beers that most supermarkets sell for 3 for £5 . I seem to enjoy all of them which may be a symptom of having to rely on French beer for much of the year.

I'd say bath ales are one of my favourites - I like the gem 5 litre microcask (about 9 pints) - the only catch is you have to finish it within 2-3 days of opening lol

My first proper drinking experience in my youth was on tennents super, it was in the middle off summer and the cans were straight of a supermarket shelf so they were very warm. I forced 2 cans down and throw up everywhere. It was not pretty
