Hi

Potential for me looking like an arse with this but hey ho, got this object, am almost certain it is something to do with photography....I am a n00b at photography so forgive me if its obvious. Also apologies if its nowt to do with photography and is some weird bondage item or something.

Any help?

Its a Flash grip

It's an off-board flash bracket. You screw the screw into the tripod socket with the handle to the left or right of the camera. stick your flashgun on the hotshoe mount on the handle and either trigger it with a lead / wireless / slaved off the inbuild flash.

The straps are a hand grip

It's just a hand strap, for a bit of added safety.
