What's the wind like where you are!

Should have gone down the stairs into the cave bits under the prominade ;) would have made for better photos

Your wish is my command. :)

I took myself down to the beach today at 12 pm, half an hour after high tide had occurred.

Both photos were taken at Folkestone sea front, all only a five minute's walk from my house.

After all that, I can't complain about not getting enough fresh air!

A dramatic fulfilment of a wish

Cracking shots those...

Reasonably windy here, nothing amazing or that unusual though.

Max gust so far in my village is apparently 46.7mph

I hope they're elasticated and you have a good grip...

 Could've done with those kind, nearly got blown off my feet outside the house!

Just back, a few branches down on the roads, a lot of leaves flying about and just missed some plasterwork falling from the front of the indoor market in Kilmarnock, but otherwise not as bad as I though it was going to be. Bad enough though

On the plus side, there's so much metalwork in my son's mouth he can't talk - result :naughty:

A gentle sou' westerly breeze here with the odd spot of very welcome drizzle every hour or so

quite breezy here this afternoon - cat loving it; so many leaves for her to chase and kill.

i know and i am not even a scratch on them thank the lord

Fairly gusty here. An articulated lorry has overturned near the bypass near us. Don't know if it's due to the wind, or the driver taking the roundabout too fast, or what the reason is. Roads been closed for over 4 hours at the moment.

A tad breezy here at the moment, dog nipped out into the garden for a wee, he's soaked underneath and not enjoying the clean up.

Went for a late-afternoon walk up to Llyn Idwal earlier today. It was just a little bit breezy :D (80mph+ gusts, I could barely stand whilst taking these shots and knelt down immediately afterwards. My lens was getting wetter by the second from the spray).

It's not a low cloud, it's a high lake :):

We've had a big tree come down in the garden. Fortunately it blew the other way and missed the greenhouse.

A neighbours tree got busted in the wind.

My poor missus is out in this tonight.

I am due out in it at 5am by which time I am hoping it has died down significantly

It has now died down here in the S.E. corner of the Peak district, the tree is still in one piece from where I moved my car, the one next to it lost it's top half in last year's gales.

Been very windy round here today in lancs/south Cumbria.
Was supposed to be marshalling at one of the Sprint stages on the Tour of Britain. Stage was cancelled due to 80mph gusts & Blackpool, the stage finish had 3/4 headwinds, not ideal for 3km finish.
shame really.

Fantastic images, they have a real "wow" about them.
