What's Santa bringing you for Christmas this year?! ;D

I swapped my 17-40mm f4 L for a 28-70 f2.8L and bought myself an 85mm f1.8 USM, parents got me a pair of stealthgear photographers gloves, which are epic. Can't use fingerless gloves because i have raynauds phenomenon, means i lose a lot of blood flow to my fingers when it gets cold, which is a pain because of two reasons, one being i like shooting landscapes and the second because i live up north :D

Hope you all had a good christmas :)

Enough Amazon vouchers to buy some Canon 430 ex ii loveliness.
Should be a marked difference to the yongnuo 465 I'm currently using :D

A big bite of fresh air...
Ah well...Maybe next year he will remember the 5DmkII..

a nikon SB-400 .totally wasnt expecting it which made it even better ! My dad must have been paying attention to my ebay searches

2x Nikon D3 and a range of lens, plus the new Nikon D4 & D800 & some of the new lens to try out.

2x Lecia M9 again with a range of lens.

Then i woke up,got to keep taking the pills

i found a d700 with grip under the tree :D

I got a remote for my 5dmk2 and i already have one. Need to stick it in the classifieds haha.
Got spoilt this year but not with camera gear. My parents leave that to me to purchase as its a bit much from them.

My sister, who has no interest in photography at all, bought me fixer and developer, which is just what I wanted.

I got a bucket.

Got a load of photography books for christmas from family.

Waited to get 7D after Christmas, no cheap deals though :-(

You should check out DigitalRev quick. They had one for £850 the other week, body only.

MPB have got a bunch of low acts 7Ds as well

Thanks folks, after a deal on a new uk 7D, should have picked one from camera world before Christmas, I stupidly expected better offers post Christmas

Santa brought me some aftershave I wanted, a selection box I always want :D

And a Ferrari 360 Driving Day :D

Apart from the usual chocs etc. I got a 9 stop filter, and a cool book on Brian Duffy :D

And a Ferrari 360 Driving Day :D

Now THAT'S a present!

Most useful thing I got this year was an LED torch. Really impressive thing and something I'd never have thought of myself.

Santa came early with a little P&S before I went on my holiday in October (wielding the DSLR around in the middle of an evening meal at a nice restaurant just isn't comfortable!) then came back for a second round at the 'right' time of year with a camcorder! :):)

Included in the non-photography related gifts were cellulite busting cream, neck firming cream and wrinkle filling cream........Thank you SO much, Sis. Not sure what you were thinking, not even sure it's the thought that counts with that lot :D (Just to be fair, she got me loads of other great goodies which far better reflect my youthfulness and beauty! :p )

A D7000, some merino wool thermals (hurray! useful for photography and camping), and some money which when put with the money from when I sell my D60 will buy me a new lens. Yay!

A nice new camera bag

I got a Canon 24-70 F2.8, a set of Kenko extension tubes and Landscape in Mind by Joe Cornish, so i did pretty well :)

I bought myself an early crimbo pressie in the shape of an SU-800 commander. Other than that, nothing else photography-related....

Nothing. no pressies or anything honest, wife and I had a cruise up the River Nile instead in November.

Lucky swine. I wish my wife would let me take her up the nile at Christmas :schtum: :D

Nothing photography related for me this year either, although I think people may find me hard to buy for. Amongst (many) other things, I got 11 bottles of whisky.

Not that I'm complaining of course!

My wife and daughter bought me a lovely Asus IPS monitor, really pleased with it, colours look great and such an improvement over my old square screen.

Santa brought me a tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens.

I paid for it though, so Santa was really a bit stingy, he just sent it via rm!
