What's Santa bringing you for Christmas this year?! ;D

I think my folks are getting me a tripod. They have a very good independant camera shop in their town so i'm hoping they'll have gone there and got some good advice rather than jessops or jacobs

Hopefully a ball head for my tripod :D

When you say 'Ball Head' do you mean a joystick quick release type? they are the best. no knobs and twist levers to faff about with. Very fast turn and lock... no looking back.

i have the joy stick quick trigger... Oh, the joy!!!

this - I have the 222 and the 322

Ok, thanks! I thought it was one of those special toys only available via the internet. :D

Having joined the local camera club recently, Santa will be leaving behind an A2 Portfolio case for me.

My mum is bringing me back the 85mm L from Hong Kong! I may also sell the Sigma 85 and treat myself to the 135mm L.

As I get older and my health fails, I wish for another year of mobility to carry on with my love of photography. Happy Christmas chaps and chapesses :)

Responses like that tend to bring threads like this into sharp focus. All the best, chap.

Nikon SB400 flash and a DVD on landscape photography by Joe Cornish.

I must have been a very good boy this year... as I have canon 17-55 f2.8 and sigma 50 f1.4 under the tree....

Nikon j1 twin lens kit, and money ready for the Nikon D4 thats coming;););)

Nissin Di466 Flash and Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG Macro lens.

Not got any AA batteries in the house though, so can't play with the flash unit yet, gutted.

Got about 20 AAA's, and everything I've opened to check is either AAA or something else unsuitable. Been eyeing up the kids Christmas pressies for batteries but have managed to resist so far......

Black Rapid RS-7.... and some great photography books....so my better half must still love me hey :-)

A Canon 60mm macro lens. :D

Someone else gifted me a lens cup; taking great delight in telling her how difficult it was to get onto the camera, then showing her pictures taken with 'my new lens'. Don't think she's figured out how I've done it yet...

I also received the Jessops flash for use on my D3100 :) Only tried it on the dog so far but am loving it! I have been taking photographs for years and years but never have I used a flashgun :)

The other half's dad surprised me with a massive bag full of photography books from the 80s that he found while clearing out his loft as well! Result.
