What's on your "Bucket list"?

Retire with adequate funds and remain fit, well and of sound mind for another 20 years, then kick the bucket before becoming decrepit.

I've done a lot of buckety stuff already, and I'm grateful to still be happily married after more than 40 years. Remaining things:

Live in another country or 2
Visit Kolkata and Amritsar.
Continue gigging for another 10 years at least.
See the grandchildren grow up
Keep enjoying work and working as long as I enjoy it.

My only "plan" in life has been to take every interesting opportunity that comes along and it has worked out pretty well. So no bucket list as such but one thing I am keen to do but seems quite hard to organise is getting close to an active volcano.
Nissirios in Greece is a huge crater you can descend into that has hot steam ejecting constantly . You can even fry eggs on the crater floor and it melts plastic/rubber footwear well worth a visit even if it’s just for the smell of the sulphur

2 more for my list.

Attend New York and/or San Diego Comic Con in the USA (probably never gonna happen! :crying: )
Attend Liverpool Comic Con in May (bit more achievable but expensive, £14 each for event tickets plus £63 return Train tickets Sheffield to Liverpool and back)
Book on Trainline and you can get a return for a lot less than that…

OK. Some of the things I'd like to do before I pop my clogs.

- visit Japan
- visit Iceland
- drive across America.
- visit Egypt
- visit Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculanium
- do the Cresta Run
- drive the Mille Miglia
- drive the Targa Florio
- cross the Oresund Bridge
- pilot a Riva Aquarama or similar around Lake Garda or Lake Como in Italy.
- take part in the Pamplona tomato fight
- drive 200mph legally
- learn to scuba dive and see some pretty fish in warm water
- become really proficient at woodworking

...amongst other items.

Not too much for me really :D

I'd like to travel more in the UK.
I'd like to go on a cruise to see the Northern Lights.
I'd like a few more trips abroad. Inspired by my time in Kazakhstan and stories told by a Chinese GF I'd like to go to Russia and China but I'm worried about Russia as a former asian GF of mine reported racism and sexual harassment there so that could be a worry. USA would be nice too.
I'd like another car or two before I give up driving,
I'd have loved to have children but as that dream never came true, I'd like a dog one day.

Other than those possibly doable things...

Talk to animals. I do that but I mean a two way thing and have a conversation with animals.
Meet an alien and maybe ask "Why the fascination with probing peoples bottoms and mutilating cattle?"
Live to see the second coming. Don't laugh or abuse, we're all entitled to our beliefs or lack of.

Meet an alien? You'd have more chance of meeting Sir Bruce Forsyth and he's been dead at least 5 years :D

I that case I really don't want to meet BF :D

Richard, it's interesting that you'd like to be a first aider as when I worked recruiting volunteers to train up was a head ache. I use to have to plead with people to do it.

PS.
Just on soap opera babes... Leyla from Emmerdale for me!

I like Chas Dingle... Kim Tate's pretty hot but she's a bit of a cowbag lol.

.... :ROFLMAO: So are we now including 'hot babes' on our bucket list?

In that case my list would be pretty long and actress Emily Blunt would be high up the list. Being now single and a heterosexual male I find myself drooling over quite a lot of beautiful women who seem to be beautiful both inside and out.

But apart from that, like some others here I have already done quite a few things in my life which would qualify as Bucket List worthy.

As a surf (and wildlife) photographer I have been invited to go to Nazare in Portugal where waves can be as high as 70-80ft and I am going next month.

Sell up, buy a largish, well-equipped camper and drive wherever I want, staying as long as I want, then move on, one country at a time...
.... I have met quite a few people who have done or are doing that - Mostly surfers.

Buy the right vehicle, ex military, and custom build it for world travel and equip it for off-grid.

A friend of mine converted a Land Rover Discovery and drove to Australia in it with his new girlfriend with the final Australia stage hitting just as Covid was starting. The LR was shipped from Malaysia to Australia and they flew into Australia just before lockdown, and had to adjust their plans for the end of the trip - but they made it. They made it back. The car made it back. They're still together and on speaking terms.
