out this afternoon with my lad taking pics of field fares using the car as a mobile hide ,we had our normal camo jackets on in case we had to get out to take any pics ,,sat there for around a hour quietly taking pics ,when a 4x4 police car pulls up beside us ,I opened the window and was asked " just wondering what your doing " of course I explained and they were happy with that ,but it shows how how alert they are and how easily it could have gone the wrong way ,you know two men in camouflage pointing rocket launchers out of a car .
Wonder if some well meaning member of the public phoned them .cant see them just chancing upon us :police::police:

Where was it? If you were near an airport or other sensitive area then Id fully expect that.. In the middle of nowhere would be a bit more odd.

I would guess at it being a routine patrol and a quick question got them a sensible answer and all parties went away happy. Had it been reported as a pair of blokes in camo gear and maybe a rocket launcher, I would expect something a bit less casual!

I suppose the security forces (and the police) are a bit on edge at the moment and quite rightly so. I think if you had been where I live, there would have been an helicopter above you telling you to strip off and walk away from the car
