What's my shutter count?

I have tried uploading an image to one of the online shutter counts taken with a D7000. I'm using a Mac with the latest O/S. So far nothing has worked. Any ideas why this may be or what u could try to resolve the issue? Many thanks - Nick
 
Do you have Photoshop?
If so File Info should give access to the Image Number.

I do Gramps (CS6). Thanks for that. Just to clarify is that File > Info ? I'm not at my desk at the moment and heading down to your neck of the woods for the week !

File > File Info > Advanced > Schema ... look for aux:ImageNumber

Thanks Gramps you're a star, being stuck in Filton without a car isn't going to be that good I predict !
 
There are also online checkers, such as ShutterActuations.com, if such a method is more convenient - upload a NEF or JPEG from the camera, and they'll give you the magic number.

Thanks but I have tried that but to no avail (see #1) hence the reason for posting.

I am away all week and will try Gramps suggestion,

How curious! Are you in a position to upload a sample NEF somewhere? Just out of curiosity, I'd like to see what GraphicConverter's embedded ExifTool shows.

I'm away in Bristol all week. I tried with a JPEG but have not tried a NEF. I have previously used a website where I just inserted a SDD card in the slot and got a result that way. I can't remember which site that was though. Will try an upload a NEF at the weekend.
