Start of May i bought my mum the following -

Canon 1000d + 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens
Sandisc 8GB Memory Card
Tamron 70-300 F4/5.6 Lens

I paid £470 for it and its sat in the box NEVER been used. How Much can i get for this as she has asked me to sell it as she will never use it :(

is £350 to little? to much?

Probably best selling separate. Should get close to £400 back for it all

A new 1000D is around the £390-400 on Camera Price buster (Jessops 399) and the lens is around £120-130 mark, so as they are both "new" and as you bought from Jessops, with receipt, still having 10-11 months warrenty, I certainly agree, selling privately you shoud get very close to all your money back.

Say £100 lens, £350-360 body + 18-55, £20-25 memory card

Would have thought they would have sold at a good discount for 2 months old :shrug:

Get it all sold and buy Nikon. You know it makes sense!

I'm sick of using my crappy Samsung NV20 and have permission from my missus to get a DSLR.

I've narrowed it down to the Canon EOS 450D or 1000D but have yet to try either of them out.

Will pop down to my local Jessop and get a taste of how they feel in the hands.

My budget is 350-400 pounds
