Let's talk about what your story is behind the camera and the gear you use.

- What bag do you use?
- What camera do take with you?
- What lenses do you take with you?
- What accessories or other items do you put in your camera bag?

Show us your gears on Flickr - My Camera, My Story.

Tell us What your choices are and Why, as well as all the things that you have to say about your lovely kit. :)

The only filters I carry are Polarisers, unless I'm expecting a lot of airborne debris (sand/spray) in which case I may take some sort of protective filters.

I usually just chuck the body, spare batteries, cards and whatever lens(es) I think I'll need into a Burton snowboard backpack. Discrete FTW.

Odd question, I personally have a small bag (single strap and doesnt look like a camera bag) which I pack differently depending on where I'm going and what I'm shooting. No point carrying around stuff I don't need.

Generally spare battery, spare memory card or 2, lens pen, body and 1-2 lenses are the regular items.

Well I shoot using my own rucksack and have the camera and lenses tucked away in there in little pouches.

Camera is a Sony a300.

Lenses I shoot with is 50mm and planning on purchasing an 18-55mm or 35-70mm for wider shots.

Accessories I carry include, Jessops 360AFS flashgun, Lenspen, Lens cloth, rocket blower, UV filter, CPL filter, and a Velbon CX Mini tripod :)

By the way I loved the gear video with Kai and Lok, after watching it I want a Olympus pen or GF1 with pancake lens now :D

If I'm shooting anything else, I'll chuck the 45-200, 14-45, spare batteries, Manfrotto 785B, and 8-stop ND into my trusty Berghaus day pack. Job done.

I have a Flipside 400 AW and in it goes my Nikon gear - D700, 16-35 f4 VR, 24-70 f2.8 mounted on camera, 70-200 f2.8 VRII, 1.4x TCII, 2x TCIII, 105 f2.8 Macro. If I am birding or going to the zoo, I attach the lens case for the 300mm f2.8 VRII to the waist belt on one side and the other side of the waist belt I put another case which carries the D7000. A monopod is then attached to the rear.

Bag - dunno, an old jessops thing.
Camera - 20d
Lens - 18-55mm
Other stuff - flash, Transmitter/Reciever, 4 memory cards, torch, spare batteries.

Does me fine. :)

Additional important stuff - Kitkat chunky, mars bar, can of coke, can of cherry coke, pack of mints, paracetamol and a strip of benadryl.

Hmmm maybe I need to take some stuff out? The problem is I don't really have anywhere else to put it in a permanent solution, If I do leave anything out its on the bed and needs to return to the bag when I get home.

It depends on what I'm doing and where I'm going as to what kit I take, this weekend for example I'm going to the North West Stages Rally in Blackpool and will have both bodies on an Op Tech dual harness with flashes attached, if I'm visiting a foreign city I'll just have the 1Ds in the Lowepro bag with some filters.

Probably a bit different to most DSLR forumites but here's mine:

- What bag do you use?

M&S A4 size satchel/manbag with Lowepro insters and foam blocks

- What camera do take with you?

The only camera I carry everywhere (I take out my DSLR if it's a specific job) is an Epson R-D1 (digital rangefinder) and a Leica M4P. Sometimes both (they both fit as I have one lens between the two so spare body slides into bag nicely), usually one or the other.

- What lenses do you take with you?

I only use a Voigtlander 28mm f1.9 Ultron in Leica Screw mount with M adapter. It fits both cameras.

- What accessories or other items do you put in your camera bag?

Spare battery for R-D1, spare memory card, couple of rolls of film (Velvia 50 and HP5+) portable hard drive, pencil case for work, wallet, change for parking or buying chews for my little staffie Nellie!

Let's talk about what your story is behind the camera and the gear you use.

- What bag do you use?

Kata DR-466i - holds camera, laptop and tripod + bits in a nice understated manner.

- What camera do take with you?

Canon 60D - bought from you lot! thanks :D
Sometimes a film SLR in the form of a Minolta X-700

- What lenses do you take with you?

50mm f/1.4, 10-22, Vivitar 19-35 for wide film shots.

- What accessories or other items do you put in your camera bag?

A little notebook, a pencil, cans of Orangina, spare batteries, eyeglasses and K-W-P.
:geek:

Camera - 7D
Lens - 70-200F4L
Camera bag - A black one with straps
Inside Bag - Brandy
Accessories - Glass for the above

Let's talk about what your story is behind the camera and the gear you use.

- What bag do you use?

Lowepro Nova AW1, used for storage of camera at home and in car (when travelling) but I don't normally carry the bag when I'm taking pictures, I leave it in car or at home (if not using car).

- What camera do take with you?

D700

- What lenses do you take with you?

50mm 1.4G

- What accessories or other items do you put in your camera bag?

I put a calotherm microfibre cloth in my pocket, but not in my bag as I then tend to forget to take the cloth with me.

Tell us What your choices are and Why, as well as all the things that you have to say about your lovely kit.

I like the D700 as it is 36x24mm same as regular film, and is very ergonomic in terms of button layout, good weather sealing. Works well with 50mm lens.

Flipside 400 AW is the bag I use...I really like the flexibility and compact size of this bag. It takes a whole load of kit as well...

It normally houses my :-

7D - I love this camera...
15-85 Walkabout - Really sharp, great contrast, great focal length, so flexible
50mm 1.8 MkII - So light, has to come with you regardless

Then depending what I am going to shoot I vary the contents as I try not to take it all...

Canon 10-22 - What can I say, its delivers great IQ
Canon 70-200 L F4 IS - Lovely lightweight solution, super sharp, often combined with the 1.4x
Canon 1.4x
Canon 100-400 L F4.5-F5.6 - It comes out for animals generally, only had it a week or two, really pleased with it
Canon 100MM L IS UM Macro - I love this lens, great colours and SO sharp
430EX II flash with stand - Great to combine with the wireless flash capability of the 7D

other "stuff"
Rocket blower
Lenspen
2 x CPL 1 x ND8
Spare CF cards and batteries
Remote release (cable and IR)
Lens cloth

Then I might take a Monopod or a tripod depending...

Usually a Crumpler Pretty Boy XXXL with a Canon 40D and Canon 17-55mm or Canon 10-22mm attached, so one or other loose in the bag.

Spare battery and memory card, polarising filter, Lenspen, Glasses, Sumitriptan Injection, Asthma Inhaler, Buff, hand wash gel, bottle of water and a chunky Kit Kat plus a fiver in change for emergencies

:)

Let's talk about what your story is behind the camera and the gear you use.

- What bag do you use?

- I have three, depending on the job I'll take one or two;

Lowepro Slingshot 200 - Awesome bags, very easy to get hold of and stow away equipment quickly.
Lowepro Flipside 300 - Roomy bag and I love the layout
Manfrotto Carbon fibre tripod kit bag - The reb and black one.
Nice layout but padding is very basic, I never use this to transport my kit as I don't trust the padding to protect anything.

- What camera do take with you?

- My main camera is the 5D mark II and i currently use the 7D as back up, waiting for the 5D mark III to replace the 7D!

5D Mark II - Amazing camera, nuff said. I occasionally use my colleagues D700 but I still prefer the 5D over it.
7D - Amazing crop sensor camera, better than my friends D300S hands down. The only thing I prefer in the D300s is the dual card slot. The only thing that'll make me let this go is a 5D mark III!

- What lenses do you take with you?

Agains depends on the job, sometimes I'll take two or three lenses in one bag or all of them using both bags.
Currently I have;

Canon 24-105 L - Solid depenable lens with great range, sharp even @ f4
Canon 16-35 II L - Amazing wide angle lens, I have a great copy that is really sharp @ f2.8.
Canon 100 F2.8 Macro - Really sharp lens!
Sigma 50mm F1.4 - Fast, sharp lens with amazing Bokeh!

I'm looking into selling these;
Canon 17-55IS - Amazing lens, fast and sharp but a shame it's EF-S only...
Canon 85mm F1.8 - Amzing lens but too close to my 100 macro..
Canon 70-300 IS - Frankly its a great lens but no match for either of the 70-200 L's!

On my wish list;

Canon 24mm F1.4L - Want, want
Canon 35mm F1.4L - More Prime goodness!
Canon 135mm F2.0L - Background buster!
Canon 70-200 F2.8L Mark II - Who needs primes? hahah

- What accessories or other items do you put in your camera bag?

Nice and simple..

2 x Canon 580 EX II
1 x BG-E6 grip
Rapid strap DR-1

Lowepro Vertex 100 AW
2 Nikon D700 bodies
Nikon 85mm 1.4
Nikon 50mm 1.4
Nikon 24-70 2.8
Nikon 80-200 2.8
SB-600 flash
10 CF cards
Two spare flash bulbs
Card reader
USB stick
Blower/swabs
AA batteries
A few other things that I can't recall right now.

My bag is now too small though, I have a third body I need to take and a couple of other bits so need something a fair bit bigger.
