Just bought an item off ebay, all went well but it now says payment is processing, yet on PayPal it is saying unclaimed, the seller has over 600 feedback 100% too so what do I do, cancel and try again, or just wait.

Unclaimed/Pending: (Processing) If your payment is pending, it means that the recipient hasn’t accepted it yet. There are a few reasons why your payment might be pending.

A payment might be pending because:

  • The recipient hasn’t signed up for a PayPal account yet.
  • You sent money to an email address or phone number that the recipient hasn’t added to their PayPal account. As soon as they add this information to their account, the money will show up in their balance.
  • The recipient is still deciding whether they want to accept your payment.
  • The recipient hasn't confirmed their bank account.
If your payment is unclaimed/pending for 30 days or your payment was denied or refunded, you’ll get your money back.

If you paid with your debit or credit card, the money will go back to your card. (It can take up to 30 days for the refund to appear on your card statement.) If you paid with your PayPal balance or bank account, the money will be returned to your PayPal balance.

It has happened to me in the past but has always gone through. Nothing to worry about!
 
that used to come up if the seller was a new account and/or the money has been sent to the wrong email address.
did you pay via the ebay system?
 
It may be that the sellers email address isn't linked to his/her Payal account for some reason (maybe they've changed it recently?). Why not drop the seller a note via eBay and see what they say?
 
Been onto ebay by phone and its a scam, my money is safe but 10 high value item are slling, being reliste in a loop, my item a Samsung evo ssd sold 18 times during the phone call....dodgy as they only had 1 for salr
 
ah right yeah sounds like the ebay account got compromised and the robbers created a few hooky paypal accounts and started selling made up stuff,
this happens a lot when another site gets compromised and email passwords get leaked.
