Great folks, just the info i need. I have promised a friend i will take photos of his new baby in a few months time and have a beanbag etc and wanted a small lightweight frame to hang a backdrop of material from. The frame will be an "L" shape so the beanbag etc sits on it to hold it steady and stop it from falling over and thought it would be better buying the connections and building one myself unless i can find one cheap enough somewhere.
 
Now that you've described the usage.. 25mm push-fit ;)
 
I mean the 25mm PVC plumbing pipe with push-fit connectors - get the most rigid pipe you can find. I wouldn't bother with aluminium tube for what you want to achieve.

yip thats my plan, the aluminium would be light weight and should be strong enough as its not taking any rolls of fabric etc, it will just been a little material stretched from the beanbag and unto the stand.Will have a look at options around the 25mm range to see how strong the pipes are and how heavy they are.
