The Wonder Stuff - Size of a cow.
I saw them in Birmingham last Saturday. Exactly a week ago to this hour actually. THey were supported by Jesus Jones and Pop Will Eat Itself. It is the loudest gig I have been to.

I remember seeing the Stuffies at Hammersmith a few years back with Voice of The Beehive in support; I feared the floor would collapse from the entire audience bouncing up and down when they played Size of a Cow

Jesus Jones I caught supporting the Throwing Muses at the Mean Fiddler in Harlesden at the beginning of March 1989. It was their 10th ever gig and I think their first single, Info Freako, had been released the week before. ISTR their keyboards kept having technical faults - though
It looked rather like operator error to me.

They had somehow acquired a large, vociferous and pointy-elbowed crowd that melted away once they were off stage.

Instant hate for JJ on my part.

The Muses were sublime, however.
