What you do?

Tell me, please, that your kit wasn't mounted

Yes it was! I had a Hasselblad plonked on it but thankfully I never, ever let go of the camera until the tripod is properly stable. So I put the remains down on the bank and went paddling to get the lower leg back. 5 mins with an allen key soon sorted it and no damage done.

Reading the first sentence, I had to use all Force powers I have to protect my kidneys from exploding as images of a Hasselblad flashed into my mind as it slowly plunged into water :shake: :shake:

For the love of God, next time rephrase your reply to say something like ...

"Thankfully, even my Hassie survived, ....." and then proceed to tell the details!

Just as a side note, if you don't do good in your current career, I suggest you have a serious look at working as some form of shock therapist!

Of course, bottom line, thank God it all came out well in the end .. now I have to attend to my kidneys again.
