i know how i want to proceed, but what would you do?: ive been promised a refund and a discount from a company for an unacceptable service, but since that email, i havent herd from them and they are ignoring my emails......

Send them a letter recorded delivery requesting the status of your refund and request a response or refund by a set date.

If they don't get back to you, or they get back to you with an unsatisfactory result, or with a promise they don't deliver, speak to a solicitor (see if you can get a free consult) and see what they say.

You don't say what the value of the services is, but a solicitor would be able to advise you best. Print copies of everything to take with you.
