Yes
If money or technology (within reason) was no object what would be your outfit of choice?

Mine would be a 5" x 4" monorail with a range of High quality lenses which record onto a digital back (circa 200MP) which has live view and a long battery life.

With Phase one bringing out the 65+ back which has a full 645 sized sensor it cannot be too far off.

Not to great for general shooting and sport, but it would really suit my interests.

To be honest, I've got pretty much exactly what I want. I suppose that in an ideal world where money is no object, I would replace the Sigma f/2.8 zooms (24-70 & 70-200) with their Nikkor equivalents and possibly the Sigma 12-24 with the Nikkor 14-24. Maybe even a Nikkor 105mm Micro to replace the Tamron 90mm. I'm happy with the D700 (ungripped) although I suppose another to avoid so many lens changes might be nice, although I tend to keep wides on the D700 and longer lenses on the D70 (if I'm feeling strong enough to carry 2 bodies!).

Wouldn't mind a medium format system but since I'm now so used to the immediacy of digital, it'd have to be the Hassleblad H? and lenses to cover the 35mm equivalent to 8mm - 500mm.

Hasselblad for me too :)

And a bucket load of leicas...........

Full frame noise free 50mp sensor in a D200 size body 10-400mm f1.4 VR lens with built in polariser & ND grads, combined kit weight of 500 grams.

Yeah, I've been promised a Hasselblad system and a Leica, when we win the lottery. On the condition she can have a pink Hasselblad (she's convinced they'll make one for her :cuckoo:)

I'd be very happy with a top notch Canon DSLR with lots of L glass to be honest, oh and a fully kitted studio.

*Big sigh...*

I love my gear, but......

... I'd have a newer version of the D2X; same body but with better sensor for low-light, something like that in the D3 but in DX format to help me retain length out of long lenses.

I'd also have a good f/4 version of a 400mm – something Nikon could do for under £1500 – and a faster aperture 12-24mm.

I'd change my 17-50mm Tamron to something like a NAF 17-35 f/2.8 or a 17-55mm f/2.8 just to have all-Nikon stuff, although I'd love them to come out with an 18-70mm f/2.8, something with a broader zoom range and constant aperture as a walkabout lens. hat would be ideal.

Probably the only other lens I'd love to have would be an 85mm f/1.8.

The rest of my gear I'm happy with. The days of me anting medium and large-format gear is well and truly over unless I was totally studio-based where it wouldn't be a problem to lug around. Then again, I'm happy with the results from modern DSLRs....

i am happy with my system but i would like;

sony a900
CZ 35mm f1.4
sony 50mm f1.4
CZ 85mm f1.4
2/3 hvl f58am

then i'd probably get a lowepro mini trekker or kata dr 467 to hold it all in.

A D3x and two f/1.4 lenses covering the entire 10-300 range. In my dreams.

Red Scarlet and some lenses please :) & waterproof housing for it.

Failing that I'd like a 1DIII with a waterproof housing :) So i can get into doing some proper kitesurfing & surfing shots.

A shed load of Leica M series Manual Focus Lenses

A BLONDE IN THIGH BOOTS AND MINI SKIRT,, OOOPs sorry that kind of outfit

:lol::D

I'd want top end Nikon...actuallt everything in my signature plus same again in Canon, Pentax, Sony and Leica! :):D

D3x, holy trinity, a range of fast ( 1.4 ) primes, + some of the big telephotos. Then a year off round the world to use it.

In theory I could get most of those now ( If I had the cash ) apart form the 1.4 primes ( which hopefully Nikon are working on soon. )

Pete

my wish list:

1D Mk IV
24-70f2.8
70-200 f2.8
300 f2.8
500 f4

Oh, and more time to use it all!

I'd take all of that but swap that 70-200 out for a 200 f1.8 or the f2 canon :) then we're cooking :)

Wasn't there a fake canon lens posted last year april time Canon EF 20-400 f/2.8L IO USM IS I'll have one of those please :) as well

A camera with in body IS so that my primes and non IS zooms benefit, I'll happily turn it off for my one IS lens. Oh, and a full frame DSLR with a built in flash. I'm annoyed that Canon seem to be last to market with technology. Come on Canon!

In a couple of year's time, assuming my job hasn't been credit crunched in the meantime, I'm hoping to buy a Canon 7D mark 2 (which should be out by then). If I could afford it, I'd also buy a 5D mark 3 (which should also be out by then) for portraits and landscapes.
