Whilst reading through Samphire's thread, "What's in your camera bag", I was reminded of things which, over the years, I've carried in my camera bag but realised fairly soon afterwards that it wasn't such a good idea.
For example, a few years ago, I stashed quite a pile of toilet-roll in my camera bag. Great idea - it's handy stuff and you can't have too much tissue paper, right? Wrong! As the tissue degraded over time, I was continuously having to clean the fibres off my kit.
Similarly, during one outing, I thought it was a good idea to carry my chalk bag (for climbing) in my camera bag... clearly another belter from my ideas factory!

So, what things have you carried in your camera bag and later regretted, vowing never to do so again?
