that would be awesome with a ttl cord and flash on it not sure about cameras but it would let you get the flash that bit off camera for press conference type shots

Another idea. Its a standard tripod mount so a Speedlight shoot+chord would work. Would be a bit cumbersome but if it gets the shot, I see no problem. Good idea!
