What was he thinking?

South Africa is desperate to show that it can swiftly handle any security issues and ensure that the country's high crime rate does not deter fans from attending next year's tournament.

The country has one of the highest crime rates in the world with about 50 murders a day. World Cup organizers say the country has recruited more than 140,000 extra police, with 100,000 more in reserve, backed up by more vehicles and water cannons.

I wasn't going but 50 murders a day would be enough to put me off if I was planning it, it's only football

Could be 51 a day,if he gets sent down,by the sound of it :shake:

Why would a photographer claim to have an explosive device in his bag. There is no reason for that.

All I hear about SA is how dNgerous it can be, I hope the World Cup next year passes off peacefully!

How many people make a joke/off the cuff statement about having a bomb in an airport or other such place where you REALLY don't want to be overheard?
There are just some things you do not say in front of authorities!
