I'm going to a hotel just north of Bradford for a couple of nights this week, partially to get away from the NYE celebrations and partially to do some togging. I'm going with the girlfriend who's not in to photography so I can't spend all my time looking for locations and nice things to shoot so I was looking for suggestions from anyone familiar with the area. I'm not after any particular subject, anything photogenic will do so bring on the suggestions please. Sample photos would also be appreciated for inspiration. Thanks in advance.

Just north of Bradford theres the Ingleton Waterfall Walk

Bolton Abbey near Skipton was quite good.

Leeds Armouries?

I work near Bradford but thats about all I know.

Bradford Cathedral
Little Germany
Undercliffe Cemetry
Lister Park
Cartwright Hall
Salts Mill
Chellow Dean
St. Ives Estate
5 + 3 rise locks

The list is endless, depends what you like. Check this site out for more inspiration.

I'd consider a trip to the photography/tv museum in Bradford-not for togging, but it's an interesting (and free) place to visit.

Bolton Abbey (as mentioned) is good, it's also a pleasant walk.

A lot depends on what you are planning to do, for example, if you intend to do some hiking, there's the whole of the Yorkshire Dales.

Will your girlfriend be going with you, so possibly needing a location that she might enjoy?

Prob a bit late with this but Ogden Water on the Halifax road between Keighley and Halifax is excellent, including a (modern but realistic) stone circle. Also there are some pretty cool overgrown victorian waterworks in the same area, but you have to know where to look as they are off the beaten track.

Also dont forget Haworth although it's a bit twee nowadays.
