I've just upgraded my main body from a D7100 to a D810, and I'm not sure what to do with the D7100 now. The logical thing I could do would be to get it converted to infrared, to replace my current IR converted D90. I take a lot of IR, and am finding the resolution of the D90 a little limiting, though having tried the D90 with my new 24-70 and 70-200 F2.8's, they've made a significant difference to the image quality (though maybe hotspotting a little). But....

The cost of converting the D7100 to IR would be £300 or the D90 as straight trade in, which seems a fairly good deal and means I don't then have to worry about what to do with the D90! However I can't help thinking I could do something different. I did toy with doing a full spectrum conversion of either the D7100 or even maybe the D90 (so convert D7100 to IR, D90 to full spectrum), but know little about full spectrum, not really sure how I'd use it, and I'd probably just end up shooting mostly IR but limiting myself to live view only. Anyone shoot full spectrum able to show some examples and say how you use it?

Or I could do something else with either the D7100 and / or D90?

I would keep one as spare in case I need to have two different lenses ready to use.

IR dslr, yea that would be cool. Or sell it to me when I have money lol

I trade them in.

The only body i have ever kept is my EOS30, a film camera that isn't worth much but kept it as something I can use for film.

DSLR I trade it in, because the tech moves on so fast it will become worthless in no time at all.
