What tattoos do you have.

There's some fantastic tattoos in this thread & some really good ideas. I'd have to take photos of mine but I have a large red rosé on my right arm which was a cover up, lucky star in Chinese on my upper back, a black heart (line art & shading) on the front of my right hip, my husband & kids names in Chinese above my left hip round the back & this is surrounded by cherry blossom, a bright blue bird on my left shoulder blade and 9 small bird silhouettes on the inside of my lower left arm. Next on my list is a birdcage under my left arm at the top of my ribs

ok... no interest in dying my skin, but each to their own........

couple of questions though

1) how much does a tattoo cost (I assume an hourly rate...)
2) do any of you regret getting tattooed?

£70 an hour for the guy I used to see

and No

wow Graham, your other half's tat is gorgeous

Just stumbled across this! :D I have 32 (some more than 1 but form 1 piece). I've just designed my chest and throat piece and waiting on my guy finishing the redraw. Any day now!

Great thread with some awesome images.

I've always fancied one, some kind of Celtic design but to be honest even at 48, I'm still to much of a puff and think it would hurt too much!

Took me a long time to take the plunge but when i did I went large ( well large ish!) on my thigh:

Getting more done in two weeks time.

Glad you like....I took a long time searching for the tattoo that felt "right"......lots had appeal but I had to be 100% sure that I would have no regrets.

I doubt i will have more tbh as I'm delighted with the one I eventually chose.

Like all that you have had so far, particular this skull but hey, i have a soft spot for em! lol

Mine at 3 hours (on the right) and as it stands currently at 5 hours. Just saving to get another couple of hours, should be about 3 or 4 weeks. It's a Maori/Polynesian type design incorporating my son and daughters hand prints.

I also have a Tasmanian devil (when I was 15), a playboy bunny (16) and a baby devil (19) I don't have regrets but wish I had spent some time to choose something that had meaning.

Just had my first tattoo recently. It's a life-size tat of my face, tattooed directly over my face.

Aself applied facial?

I've got two at the moment. A small heart with horns and a tail on my left shoulder blade (got it when i was 22, and my best mate got the same one on her right shoulder blade at the same time. Represents me being a devil/sweetheart ), and my latest one (got in Feb as my valentines day pressie from my hubby :) ) is a panda mother and cub, with my children's names in Chinese around it. My plan is to get one more, probably a line from either Bon Jovi's Always (my fave song, the first dance at my wedding and the song child number 3 was born to) or Snow Patrol's Chasing cars ("our" song, last dance at our wedding and song youngest child was born to ). I want something which represents the hubby, without actually having his name permenantly etched into my skin .

Some nice ink in this Thread, but some dreadfully done crap messes too.

I'm thinking of getting a few more this year but ain't decided just exactly what and where. Gotta be 100% sure before it's done.

Love it!!!!
Do you have a template or something you based it on?? Want to have a look...and how long it took to be finished? How many hours? Thanks

Thanks!

Here's a couple more angles....

There's no template as such, I just googled for egyptian imagery that I liked, and then gave my tattooist a rough idea of what I was after. I'm lucky in that she's awesome and I could essentially just let her crack on with it. I wasn't sure how it was all going to turn out until she was finished, but I knew I'd love it!

It took around 6 1/2 hours for everything including the hand. The side of my arm already has a large tattoo of one of my sons names, so it didn't need work. The spider was already there, but it was badly faded so she re coloured it and shaded it to tie in with the rest.

6.5 is not bad is it ...
I'm thinking about sleeve tattoo but on upper part-easier to hide if needed;)
Am thinking about full color as well

I feel the urge for a new one.

Me too!

Still trying to decide what and where though. I'm very tempted by my wife's name and our wedding date under my wedding ring and also tempted to have the markings from this photo superimposed over the growler emblem from the grille badge of the car - a variation on the black panther flash!
