Hey Stuart you will know your clients better than anyone else but I used to use an iPad to show clients images at meeting at one time we used a projector as well.

A couple of years ago I went to a show run by one of the wedding album companies we use. I had a chat with the guy and he asked about how we meet clients, how meetings go etc. and I explained how we did it. He suggested not doing that and just only using sample albums and in particular large albums that we normally at that time wouldn't have offered and straight away going the analogue route made a huge difference to the amount of albums we sold and the size of the albums we sold.

However if you are looking for a cheapish tablet with a decent screen my daughter uses a Lenovo Yoga Tab that wasn't that expensive and the screen is very good.

Thanks for the reply . To be honest I would prefer sample albums of which I have a few but after every wedding I do I always have a few images I want to add to my portfolio which can easily be done with a tablet but not so with a physical album

I got the iPad Air II for portfolio purpose, does the job beautifully!
Sure, I use it in studio to remotely control both camera and flashes
in tethered sessions… and other uses.

Always been happy with the Samsung Galaxy S range, basically the Android equivalent of the iPad
I have the original 10.5in Tab S, my wife has the S2 9.7in and my daughter the S2 8.0in version

Excellent screens and good battery life although mine is getting a bit tired now, had it for about three years though
Can even use them for back up with a 128gb micro SD card to extend the memory, I regularly do when travelling
