Hi.

Since I am starting to go out more and more to people who actually want to see my photos, I though that some sort of tablet would be nice method of presentation without carrying laptop (that is broken now anyway) or album with prints.

I don't look for anything fancy really, just something good enough with decent memory. Budget would be about £150.

Any recommendations?

Cheers.

You should get a Galaxy 9.6 inch 8gb ,with a micro SD slot for that budget, put the photos on the SD card and its fine, 16gb will cost a bit more.
Currys have got some "on offer" or have a look at CCL Computers (https://www.cclonline.com/category/120/Tablets/)
I use a 2 year old galaxy and its OK

Original Galaxy Tab S may be available now mk's 2 and 3 have been produced

Still using my original 10.5in version, lovely screen and not bad for battery life

If you don't mind going second hand I've just recently picked up a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 for around your budget, I've had android tablets, iPads and cheap windows tablets but this Surface is by far my favourite. Whether it's just simple tasks like browsing the Internet and looking through photos etc or hooking up a mouse and if wanted a monitor and fully editing photos in lightroom it can do it all no problem, really is the best of both worlds.

Just bought a Lenovo Yoga 3 10in from Currys, really pleased with it, fantastic battery life and seems really responsive. Was £150 but I think it's just gone up in price.

Just bought the 8 inch model and chuffed with it.
As said, the battery life is really good, no, really really good! and the nifty stand is brilliant.
The swivel camera is good too!
£123 on Amazon.

I would be tempted for something bigger than an 8" screen. I have a hudl tablet just now (tescos own version) which works perfectly well, but I kinda wish the screen was a good bit bigger for photography.

I'am actually using the iPad Air II with great
pleasure… and I am considering the larger
Pro for after my "forced" holidays!

Another vote for the Lenovo Yoga. Probably need to go 2nd hand to get under the £150 budget and you'll probably want to spend a few quid on a decent size micro SD card as well.
