Im setting up a small studio, im going to use paper BG and possibly a Multi panel floor tile, but the studio floor is 8" tiles, and not very level! so what would be the best thing to lay down so my paper is as flat as pos? i was going to use a few pallets, or some 1" ply... something like that..

What would you guys suggest???

Thanks....

Chipboard would be good ..painted it does not reflect and you can get panels with grooved edges so it fits together an moves as one.panels are 8x2 I think .but you should see the studio of Maz Mashru in leister last time I visited it had 22 rooms or sets with every thing from mirror floor to greek colums and loads of asian sets ...way to go.

Use a Self Leveling Concrete or similar compound.

Very cheap under £11 will do 5m square at 3mm thick.
You could even pour it straight over the existing tiles if they're secure enough, or take them up & chip away any really bad lumps & then pour the mix.
You can then either tile over the SLC or paint it directly with a sealant.

Thanks everyone, iv decided to go for the loft panels, 8x2 and £15 each, Tongue & groove then pain... :-)
