What are peoples preference for the size they print pictures at?

I have started getting some of my pictures printed at 9x6 which seems to work well but was wondering what others preferences are.

I guess there are many factors that will affect the choice but I am sure many people have a go to size.

Printed for what purpose?

I proof at A5 in general. For exhibitions I print at A3 - larger is both expensive and restricts the total number of pictures a given wall will hold. For private sales, whatever size the customer wants.

I only print for competitions and/or exhibition. The usual total mount dimension is 40cm x 50cm, so my prints will fit in those. However, for the occasional other purposes, usually 9x6 or 7x5. A lot of my images don't fit the 'standard' dimensions, so I always get them printed with sufficient space and cut a mount to suit. Personally, I like the art/archive papers rather than standard photo paper, but that's expensive!
