5184 x 3456 at 300 PPI would give you a front image area (excluding overlap for the canvas frame**) of 17.28" x 11.52". To get a larger canvas you could either print at a lower PPI (e.g. 240, 200, 150) or resize the TIFF using suitable software.

**The necessary frame overlap can be added without affecting/reducing the image on the front - this would avoid getting the topmost aircraft too close to the top edge of the canvas.

I've just had a canvas print done for the first time. The image was slightly smaller than yours 4928x3264

I exported it to 16bit TIFF at 600dpi from Lightroom and took it to a local place that I happened to have a gift voucher for. Interestingly they converted it to JPEG and slightly lightened it for printing, but I had it done at 32x24 inches. I am really pleased with it

This was the image in case you're interested http://www.flickr.com/photos/siblingchris/12000774693/

I had it done at xpress framing in the Derby Westfield...interestingly there was a pro photographer there getting a wedding photo canvas when I arrived...he said the place was great for canvases and recommended it as his preferred place to go for them

Print as big as you like / can afford / have room to display.

On canvas your print will look fine at a resolution of 100 PPI. (For reference that's about the resolution of most desktop computer monitors.) That will give you 51" x 34" with no trouble at all.
