Can't afford a top of the range 1D, so thinking second hand, soooo:
1D II N or
1D III
I know some of you complained about the mark 3, focussing issues?
Opinions please.
 
Well I am assuming that as this is in the sports section, you want it for sports.

I had both a IIN and a III.

Will you be photographing in good light all the time?

What lenses and other kit have you got?
 
Just need a second body to my 7D, don't shoot sports a lot but went along to the tour de france and really enjoyed that.
So i was thinking 1D II N or III with a 70 - 200 f2.8 and my 7D with 17 - 50 f2.8 for wider shots?
Is the 7D more advanced than the 1D II N? should i stick to my original plan of 5D II with wide angle lens and use the 7D for a sports setup?
 
Sounds like a good idea to stick to your original plan.
 
Yeah your right, will try and find a good used 5D II cheers
 
What about the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 that is for sale on TP?

I wanted it but got a 1D4 instead!!!
