Folks,
I have given up saving for 300 f2.8:'(:'(
What would you do.

Current line up 20D & 300f4 & 1.4TC, backed up 400D & 100-400, kit lens, 50f1.8.

Mainly shoot wildlife and birds but have a hankering to go down the Macro route and give this a go.

Should I sell 20D and get a 40D:) or buy a 100nn f2.8 macro lens:)

Can't afford both at the minute.

20D works fine but 40D looks mighty nice.

Any views as always welcome.

Cheers

Rob

What would the 40D provide that the 20D doesn't? Apart from satisfying your upgraditus ;)

Go with the glass every time, the macro lens will open up a whole new area of photography to you, the 40D will just temporarily satisfy your upgrade need and not really make a great deal of difference to your photography.

I'd get the glass! The 20D is a great camera, and more glass is an addition, rather than a replacement!

Thanks folks,

I guess you are right - the glass would allow me to do something different.

Thanks

Cheers

Rob
