No
Well not after I dropped it, my son just did. He knocked it off the arm of the sofa straight onto a laminate floor!!

Now to be fair, I'm typing this message on it so that's a plus, there don't appear to be any permanent marks on it and when I give it a shake theres no rattles etc.

Have I been lucky?

possibly. if its not displaying any problems then you may have gotten away with it.

we've had 2 bust in the last week from users traveling to the far east.. one "knocked around on the flight" where the bottom popped off and the aircard stopped detecting. the other which was "knocked off the desk" which we haven't seen yet but sounds like the DVD drive is constantly trying to eject..

:bat:

Check the disk drive.
Might also want to run some hard drive diagnostics to check that, couldn't recommend any programs for that though as I don't use macs.

you could just check the disk over in the disk utility. it might pick up any problem areas if it was read/writing at the time.

problem is with drops is hairline cracks in circuit boards that dont immediately show, another small knock may cause a larger split etc.

Thanks all, well done as ye said and did a check of the hdd and the dvd drive and both appear to be fine so other than the hairline crack possibility like neil mentions I seem to have gotten away with it! [crosses fingers]
