what shall i get the wife for crimbo?

A couple of years ago I got an old and battered second hand washing machine for the wife.................... Probably the best deal I've ever done!

I bet you miss the sarcasm though i.e. it won't take the p*ss out of your pants.

what me and the other half do each year now is set a budget say £20/30 ish, then go into town and buy lots of little bits and pieces from charity shops etc, everything is different, thought about and we help various charities at the same time

Well when my other half was alive and me being the big kid I am and liking suprises.
I used to write out a list things that I had seen that I would like, with size etc. and which shop they were in.
Being a workaholic it was the only time he went shopping
So he could then pick out what he was going to get me, I got something I really wanted. It was still a suprise as I was never sure what it would be, and sometimes there would be something else I didnt know about that would go with it. Worked very well and a very happy 30 years marriage.

now that would be a great present for me. Her cooking ..... well, anything actually

i'm the chef in our house:thumbs:

Ah, okay! ......... Get her a new vacuum cleaner with a nice ribbon around it for the romantic touch.

The power of forgiveness in case she ever gets to read this thread...? ;)

A beautifully designed and printed voucher.......for one hour of your silence hehe

Handbag - perfume - bath stuff (Lush ect - Molton Brown) - Lingerie - nail polishes - do her a stocking with some or all of the above - nice gloves - boots - nice facial care stuff.

A ladder?

A ladder?

Is that in case she feels like jumping after the hour of joey-love? (Which, I assume, will be given in it's entirety in a series of 30 second installments?)

* Tries to bite tongue... *

Just bought (well started paying the finance) the wife an RCZ Peugeot, 2 crush 2, totally impractical if you have kids of course, unless you load them in via the boot, as Xmas present and I get to use it at weekends.
Think of something she'll like and you can use as well, how about a nice little compact so she can capture those wonderful moments (like when they have their afternoon nap - make the most of it I reckon its going to end soon). And it will be nice for her to photoshop them in a few years time once they've gone off to school - long term present.
Maybe a Leica :)

Shshh!!! Oil industry, actually with a huge balloon payment (in 3 years) it isnt too bad a hit, the car was "only" £25K, about the same as a med spec 2.0 Focus.

Get her a system compact, she's probably outgrown last years and you'll be able to buy lenses etc for a few years yet :) Then a new body (camera, not yours or hers!). Could keep that all going for a while. Small accesories for the children (to buy for the camera not as a swap, tempting though it might be).

trust me, this compact will last her 5 years, she has zero interest in cameras and in fact hates anything with any features other than focus and take pic :bonk:

How about making stuff for the kids? at 2 they will start getting into making.

Yellow Moon vouchers (I warn you yellow moon can get addictive for mums!)

Something to store your kids artwork in...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Picture-Pockets-Kids-Art-Size/dp/B00270CYGO

We have 2 of those over the dining door (rejigged the string so that they are just slung over the door

Underwear, never fails.... especially if it's a size smaller ;)

Im buying the wife a pup, i have told her im photographing them for the breeder ( i have photographed for the breeder in the past ). She is coming with me to help carry my stuff and get the pups in front of the camera, i will then tell her the real reason we are there--to pick a lovely little Dogue De Bordeaux pup for ourselves.I think she will be happy as she loves these dogs and has been wanting one since watching Turner and Hooch..:thumbs:At least she wont be complaining to me she is bored as she can start cleaning all the slobber from the wall, carpet and ceiling...

my missus wants some Hunter wellies... whatever they are... for walking the dog. At £75 a pair i hope they're something pretty special!

She also wants a Gersemi coat - because Barbour is soooo 2011

Luck you she wants normal hunters. I have to buy a pair of Jimmy Choo hunters at £235 a pair. she already has the jimmy choo uggs. :cuckoo:

Royal Doulton? :D

How about loads of mugs with your face on them that she can break when you're being really annoying. She probably wouldn't need more than a dozen per day

She must have had hobbies or interests before.

well my wife loves her Ipad and she also loves her Iphone, she even loves her Ipod.

i can't wait to see her face when she gets her Iron:lol:
