Yes
Just thinking of all the things there are that I like, but any alternative makes of that product just did not come close to the original. So I wondered do you have a fave? It does not have to be edible, and the only rule is you cannot say there is only one Camera :D Ok I will start.

There is only one.......Jaffacake

Heinz Beans & Sausage & McVities Chocolate Digestives

not mixed

Yorkshire tea - YUMMY :)

Canon Cameras.

someone had to do it!

OK then ....

Mars Bars

That's weird! I almost never drink fizzy drinks (they play hell with my guts) but at the moment, I have a can of Irn-Bru open beside me! The imitations just don't get close - Iron Brew being an accurate description of their taste.

For me, the main one is tomato ketchup which has to be Heinz. I would have added baked beans to that a few years ago but I reckon Sainsbury's cheapo beans are Heinz but with more sauce, so are definitely edible.

Lidl's own brand (? mr Choc ?) Mars bar analogues are pretty good - at least the mini ones are, as are their version of Twix. Their lemonade's good too (according to Dad who gets through loads of it!), remarkably close to Schhhhhh....

Bovril :D

I would have said Tesco's Own Diet Lemonade but they seem to have changed the flavour of that now :(

Oo, and Quavers

REAL Coca-Cola. Not that I drink many fizzy drinks

Binoculars - Leica
Gadgets - Apple
Email device - Blackberry

Someone just mentioned lemonade and it all came flooding back to me..

Gotta be R Whites in those dimpled glass bottles from the 1970's

Orangeade.. Fanta beats Tango hands down

In no particular random order:

Dunlop squash rackets
Richie Woodhalls Cumberland Sausage
Argento Malbec red wine
Cheese XL crisps (I think they only sell them in West Cumbria!?)
Dairylea

Oh, and Focus Dailies contact lenses, so I can actually see!! :D

Not long ago I would have said Heinz Ketchup, until I discovered the own-brand stuff that is sold in Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda, it's a fraction of the price and much nicer :suspect:

I knew there was a good reason for not eating my cornflakes as a lad
now all these years later I have found out why :D

To.ser! :D;)

Coca Cola went downhill when they stopped using cocaine and as for cornflakes....

You do know the history behind Mr Kellogg and his cornflakes?

I don't think I could support that business.

Yeah because I'm sure that's exactly the kind of thing they still think :cuckoo:

Anyway!

Instant coffee - has to be Kenco. And don't preach to me about 'real' coffee or anything like that, instant freeze dried granules do the job fine thankyouverymuch :D

We'll have to agree to disagree on that, Flash! I've tried plenty of other brands but nothing comes close to Heinz. As for Mr Kellogg's original concept behing Cornflakes, 1. it doesn't work and 2. there are 2 types of men, tzerofivefivers and liars - and that's the truth!

Also try Waitrose Essential Ketchup - Ladybird has fallen in love with the stuff. I dont know if you guys get Waitrose up there? It may be a bit pricey...:p

Ilford film.

And I prefer Tesco and Somerfield cheap baked beans to Heinz .

My son and I have been doing the research for years....

Does that actually make a difference? It all ends up in the same thing... I've tried it many different ways:

granules, water, milk, sugar
granules, sugar, water, milk
granules, sugar, milk, water
water, granules, sugar, milk

and it seems to taste the same!

Curtis egg custard.
The large version of course. No other compares.

Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. Alternatives just don't cut it.
:coat:

HP Brown Sauce. Nothing else even compares.

Being from a fry eating nation, we do tend to use a lot of brown sauce. I won't go back to a cafe if I know it uses the cheap rubbish. :D
