Just a thought when I was processing a couple for a customer earlier on tonight. Every time I see this picture I love the expression on her face, it never changes anyway, a lovely person :) So what pic makes you grin, anything at all, any reason  Might die a quick death this one

On the way up Arthur's seat in Edinburgh last june, both ended sunburnt by the time we got back down. She's scared of hights so it was 118 for mountain rescue

It's just a snap, but it just sums up her love of life

This one still makes me chuckle every time I see it - it's still one of my favourite shots, taken at Chester Zoo last year. :D

This photograph makes me smile for diffrent reasons. The woman in the middle was my guidence teacher Mrs Larg, she left just before the start of 6th year beacuse she was *pushed* This really really upset me, but at the same time she left because she wasen't happy and seeing her happy was really nice to see. She took care of us for 4 years, displined, shouted and she is the most caring person you could meet. I owe a lot to the teachers at that school and I bloody-well owe her A LOT, so it really means alot to see her enjoying her teaching again in her carefree nature and I saw her at our 6th year dance a while back and heard how she was getting on and i keep in touch with her by e-mail, really nice to see :). That is also my class, it was a small group of people who cared and knew what to do and how to get things done. Out of that group there are two house heads, head girl and the deputy head boy ;) and thay wanted to split us up! but Mrs Larg stopped them (that was the spark that lit the fire). This was the last photograph we had together in the class room when we give her presents and goodbyes. Sorry if I rambled on got really cought up.

I have no funny photos, well not ones that are appropriate for a family forum!
:D

That's a lovely story Ally
It's easy to see a photo and dismiss it and say "Just a few people in a group shot", but when you read the story behind it and what it means to someone, it really takes on a new edge.

I'm *really* thankful for some teachers at school, and I suppose I should have done something to thank them and show my appreciation, but I never did.

The sequence of shots of my mom feeding a deer and llama. :) The range of expressions appearing on her face is priceless. From tentative -> disgusted -> ticklish -> squemish -> laughing at herself -> yet sticking her hand back out and going through all that again. :D

i was tickling her feet while trying to hold the cam for the shot :D

Ah, ok, so you wouldn't fit in the bag then?

Am I the only one who can not see half the pic's posted??

Probably not...This thread was started in 2006, so alot of the links may be obsolete now :)

Ah, silly me! didn't check thread start date - just saw thread in new posts list!

Ta.

Hehe it often catches me out too..when a thread is updated with a new post, it goes to the top of the list...regardless of when it was started...lol

seems like a fair few of us have had some sadness in our lives..
I will try to dig out one or two when home next, but such is the power of photography - it can raise a few tears no sweat..

Not a sad image from me this time although you've got me thinking now about what classes as an image that makes me smile & they're definitely not all happy shots.
