What next?

Got a Canon 550D + 18-55mm kit lens + 55-250mm zoom lens for xmas. I am looking for a nice macro lens probably in the region of £350 brand new. Should i by canon or third party??

canon 60mm f2.8, should get a new one just under £300

Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM is better than 60mm cripple and roughly within the budget.

tamron 90mm or sigma 105mm get good reviews and also give you better working distance than the canon 60mm

The 100mm is an excellent macro lens that doubles very nicely for portraits. You can find very desirable pre-loved examples at around £300+
