Anything with a high bpm. Nas and Damien Marley's album was a favourite for a short hard cycle because I could go at the pace of the song and knacker myself in good time with some great songs.

We just have the radio on in the gym at work. Absolute and XFM work best for me, can't stand Kiss FM ( I usually return Kiss FM on the preset ) or Capital. But then I'm using weights so it's just a background noise and it gives me a rough idea of the time. But if I had to choose a type of music it would be rock anything else is just an unnecessary noise.
i dont know this jim person, but when im outside running :O i listen to sugarbabes or any of that girlband carp, because the beats are constant throughout the album and give me a longer distance compared to the chase and status/pendulum youll find me listening to the rest of the time...
