Hello,

It's been a long long time since I used a monitor with my computers favoring laptops for there portability, I have now been forced to do so, digging out an old monitor I was given some time back I'm a little confused ! Which of the two inputs should I be using ? I am going from a HDMI output at the PC end so will need a convertor , the second images shows convertor I have but as one of the pins appears damaged I can not send it fully home ( not sure where this came from) Also what are the two inputs if they are both inputs called.

Many thanks

Brad

Just to clarify, the DVI connector is a DVI-D Dual Link connector (DVI comes in 'D' and 'I' both with Single and Dual link versions, plus an 'A' version!)

What they said ^ with a green 'audio out' thrown in

If all you have is HDMI output on your PC, you will need an HDMI to DVI cable - a bidirectional should do the job fine

Adapters from HDMI computer to DisplayPort on the monitor are rare and expensive - the other way round (DisplayPort to HDMI) are cheap as chips and easy to obtain but will not work for your scenario

Thanks everyone much appreciated.
