what medium format flatbed scanner?

V500

Thats what I use and really nice scanner. Just look at any of my MF stuff and it's done with that.

If you can then get a V700 or even V750, depends if your thinking of ever doing 5x4 stuff or wet scans
 
Not for £80 I don't.

You will soon discover (if you haven't already) that as the negative size increases the associated costs rise disproportionately.

If you think medium format is expensive, wait until you try 5x4 or 10x8!

V500 :lol: well that's only £100 more than the OP wanted to spend, remember he wants to do this for £80 :lol:

I was just thinking, this is the second night I've spent scanning, 24 frames a night and its doing my head in.
Then, in between replying here and checking pre-scans/scans, IT appears on screen, you know the one, the one with no pp, straight out of the scanner, that you know its destined for greatness...:)

Its a snowscape.....a month after it last snowed....:lol:

I'll have to save up not only for a camera, but a scanner also! Christmas maybe? :)
 
Iv got the V700 and its great!

Although im probably not using it correctly! I could scan a lot more than 24frames in one night!! lol.. All on the auto setting! not sure what im missing out on by that though! lol..
 
well, if you're going to print them with an enlarger, you could scan the print with an ordinary flatbed..
 
you might be able to get your hands on a second epson 4990 scanner for around the £100 mark as I think you can pick them up for £150ish new now.

THIS will also scan med format and will undoubtably produce reasonable results for prints up to a3 maybe.

so plenty to be going on with there.

What I'm trying to point out is that there are plenty of cheap scanners out there to scan med format!
