The colour temperature seems to be a bit off on my monitor, other than that I like that shot.
For a flag, the best material is Cinefoil (AKA blackwrap) or you could use black card.
 
I'm sure I saw a video where the guy had a flag that attached to his lighting gear? Maybe it was custom made.

I messed with the colour temp and saturation in that photo to try and get a creative effect. Lack of space is causing a problem at the moment and unless I either get a backdrop or flag I'm going to be limited until we move house this year. Out comes the wallet again....
 
People do buy flags - some people like spending money:)

As an alternative, you can use the black absorber from a 5-in-1 reflector. But whatever you use, if it's a fixed size then it will be the wrong size or the wrong shape sometimes. That's why we use blackwrap to make our own
 
I'll do a review of the L308 tomorrow if I get time. Great bit of bit that just does what it says. Unless they are faulty then they all do the same thing!
