No
Me shutter speed,it's always one of my main faults I keep thinking yes I can handhold at that speed,or that speed will freeze the action.

After all the years I have been taking photo I still keep doing it :(

What's yours

:)

That I really need to carry an ND filter all the time, traveling light I bumbled across a nice little waterfall and couldn't get the shutter speed low enough in the bright susnshine.

Fuji Provia 1600 expiry date should possibly be respected.
Fast Film does not shoot well, when a decade out of date!

That I needed a decent camera. I'd tried to get away with a bridge camera (Fuji HS30EXR) and image quality just wasn't there, although I already 'knew' that.

Another one learning all my controls on my XE-1,so I can get the full use out of it :bonk:

To keep something handy for polishing the mirror during bridal prep, need to be able to do it without making a fuss too.

Photographically, it's always to shoot more.

Newspaper is good for mirrors!

For me; get the weather forecast before making an hour journey, shooting for 10mins and then face the inevitable of a storm...

that my wet gear aint good enough for monsoon rain i had in walters/wales last weekend

After a night on the meadow in moonlight... would like little less noise in sensor...

Checklist:
waiting patiently for Nikon D400 - check!
replace DX wide with 17-35mm f/2.8 FX wide - check! arrives tomorrow!
replace D300s with... D800? - pending :D

From my last efforts? Focusing a moving target for motion shots, even with a slow subject (my daughter jogging), is harder than I thought it would be!

That even when I'm carrying my "essentials" (ie: Camera, flash, possibly a second lens), I should take a flash diffuser with me.
Nikon even provided me with one specifically for that flash, so it's not like I have to ferret around in my box of Stofens and white socks and all the other ones I've picked up and disliked over the years.

That when I thought I knew how to set studio lights for the effect I wanted... I didn't....not even close.

I know that I must really look and really see and take my time to do so and capture the shot I want to capture but I don't like attracting attention and if there are people around I rush... and then when I reviewe my shots I regret rushing.

I was out today and I made the same mistake.

That exactly what happen on Saturday,to much of a rush and just didn't get the shots wanted, and the one i did get to slow shutter speed :bang:

To calm down and consider the shot before pressing the shutter.

I recently spent a week or so shooting Landscapes and perhaps I'd become too used to the opportunism and reactive nature of wildlife photography.

when waiting for a sunset its not a good idea to wait in an INN :)

If you're panning, turn IS off altogether.

I desperately need more resolution to shoot wide landscapes.

My flash won't activate HSS if I'm using the optical wireless trigger from my onboard flash. I had to google that one!

to make sure the mode(?) dial's in the right place - I've accidentally knocked it from aperture to full manual and not noticed until I've got home and put the photos onto my computer - only to fnd they've been totally over or under exposed

... That I just don't have the patience for wildlife photography ... All that waiting about for a few birds to arrive ... Just not for me ...

That no matter how good I think I am, that in reality I'm not even close to average never mind good.

After my ballhead failing on me in Skye  always ensure that I've got the backup equipment I need.

Yep, on a big trip I'll have 3 cameras, 8 lenses, two tripods and heads, 15 memory cards, two filter holders, multiple filters, two CPLs, 4 cable releases, 8 batteries and a backup of film which needs no batteries at all!

leaving nothing to chance eh mark!! :D

Yeah I had just about everything backed up but confess I didn't give a thought to the need for another ballhead - almost dumped the D800 onto Sligachan Bridge! :(
