Hi all i am new here so just getting my way around the forum so hopfully this is in the right section. 
I am after a lens to go with my canon 400d. my spec is as follows:
1)Can take walking with me so not to heavy
2)Be able to use indoors (ie partys, family snap shots etc)
3)May be Makro function to.
4)price range £300-400
5)and if poss be able to use to take pictures of sport. (ie kickboxing)
I have been told about the sigma 18-50 f2.8 ex dc.
What do people think to this.
